everyone! We are Bengali with a thousand year old culture. We fought for our
Liberation and won our Independence. We are the nation of Bengalis and today are
our New Year. My greetings to all my countrymen.
On this day of
celebration, I remember the victims of the bomb attacks on Pohela Boishak
celebration in 2001 and all others during the BNP-Jamaat regime. Terrorists
sponsored by BNP-Jamaat wanted to wipe out our culture in the name of religion.
The Awami League Government has not allowed that to
happen. We will defend our culture and country against all terrorists. We have
kept you safe from terrorists for the past five years and will continue to do
